What?

Six-Day Intensive "Boot Camp" Field Training Course

2-day Ropes Course (Monday-Tuesday)

2-day SLack Water Rescue (Wednesday-Thursday)

2-day Large Animal Technical Rescue (Friday-Saturday)

 

Who?

Animal Control Officers, Veterinarians, Technicians, LSART Members

Physically able and willing to deploy to in-state and out-of state emergencies

Must come self-sufficient with transportation and supplies for camping

 

Where?

Classes will take place at LSU FETI and LSU SVM Campuses

Tent or trailer camping with hot showers will be available at BREC Farr Park on River Road, one mile from training centers

 

How?

Class size limited to 30 trainees, with LSART certification upon completion

Training will simulate actual response conditions, combining classroom and on-the-ground exercises, wtih attendees required to bring t heir own food, response-appropriate clothing and camping supplies

A complete list of recommended supplies will be given to confirmed registrants. Some safety equipment will be available.  

 

Cost: $50.00 for total course, $25 for each mini-course
